I feel GREAT, I am so happy to not be sick anymore!!! I am PSYCHED PSCYHED PSYCHED!!Do you have your goals for 2009 written out? Have you shared them with a friend? Are you fully COMMITTED?? Are you ready to not accept excuses from yourself?? It will take giving it all you got, but remember - YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO. Don't be lame, GET IN THE GAME. Be a showstopper. Show everyone that doubts you that you are UNSTOPPABLE. There are no excuses. Obstacles? Overcome them. Make yourself proud.

Really, Check Her OUT!!
Kids, I was so "wowed" when I saw this blog post from "Fitting Back In". Please click and check out her Before & After pictures. I want to share all kinds of tips and stories with you from men and women who have gotten fit in a healthy way- and all kinds of ways. There are soooo many ways to eat and train in a healthy manner- and it's key to find a good fit for each one of us. What is nice to see is that some common themes prevail in almost all the success stories- Eating Healthy (no starvation), Staying Active (whatever kind of training that is), and TRACKING (food journal or journal or blog journal, you know) and SUPPORT. Great blog, great example of a healthy success story. ;-)
SNOWBALL EFFECT.
Good Morning Kids!! Happy Sunday!! I wanted to share a quick post with you and then I have to run, it's another busy day today. But, it's all GOOD!!! All GREAT!!Jodi Lane (Check Out Her Blog !) said something in her comments about that "Snowball Effect" , and hello - that's not just for those of us living in the midst of all the good cold white stuff right now! LOL
You create a SNOWBALL EFFECT that is either PROPELLING YOU TOWARD YOUR GOALS or pulling you AWAY from your focus. Think about that.
This is what I was saying before. YOU ALONE CREATE YOUR SNOWBALL EFFECT. You alone are responsible for what you create in your life. You alone can make any kind of results you want. So what are the results that you want?
You want to lose fat, gain lean muscle, achieve better conditioning, compete in a Figure Competition, Bodybuilding Competition, run a marathon- what is it? Pick your GOAL, your DREAM. Aim High. Then, Work Your Plan.

The ONLY thing you need to get rolling here - to create your snowball effect for good- is the DECISION to do it. Once you decide, then you START. That's it. You START. Put one foot in front of the other. Baby Steps. Do SOMETHING every day. Heck, do 5 somethings every day. For each of us it is unique to US and our goals. JUST DO IT. Start NOW.
Every day, you add to that snowball effect. Decide which direction you want the snowball effect to go. FULL SPEED AHEAD? I think so.
You can do ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IS WITHIN YOU. Make the decision to COMMIT. Commit to SHOW UP.
Get over it when you trip. You will trip and fall. We all do. It's the getting back up that makes you a champion. BE UNSTOPPABLE.

It's So ON.
Good afternoon kittens!! How is your weekend so far? It is soooo gross here, weather-wise, right now. It was freezing and icy on Christmas Eve, and now it is 50 degrees and rainy. Welcome to Chicago. ;-) Anyway, it has been an insanely busy and crazy week. I'm in need of some serious Starbucks right now. Indeed.So, anyway, I have my VLOG post for today below, but I wanted to just tell you guys AGAIN how incredibly PSYCHED I am, how amped I am and how READY I am. It's been a rough year in 2008 for me, for many of us. For me I had these crazy insane medical problems for the better part of the year (only 3 more weeks left of pills! WOOT!!) and then y'all know the job craziness. But, all that being said, it really has - as does everything I believe- happened for a reason. I have learned more and changed more (in a good way) this year than ever before.
I am stronger, faster, tougher and better in the gym. I have improved my cardio capacity significantly. I have decreased my overall bodyfat percentage. I have NOT GIVEN UP. I have pressed on even when I've fallen down. I have learned more than I ever thought possible about training, about cardio, about circuits, about "diet" (when I say diet you all know I don't mean anything but a way of eating), about attitude and determination. I am more focused than ever and almost more importantly, I am backing that up with GOAL SETTING- daily, weekly, monthly, yearly- written down for my accountability. My drive is stronger than ever.
I trust myself, finally. I know that I don't need to constantly second guess my training and my diet if I'm not at 8% body fat by Sunday. I KNOW MORE THAN EVER THAT I WILL GET THERE. I will reach my goals. I am dissappointed that I'm not at the end of 2008 able to say that I achieved my objectives, all of them. BUT, I can proudly say that I put forth focused effort and stayed the course, got back up and kept at it, even after weeks of being out sick for whatever reason. I am pleased with that. I have learned from what I've done wrong, and I have adjusted my approach accordingly.
How incredibly exciting is it that I am JUST BEGINNING?? I feel like this is just the beginning of this part of my life. I have never felt so psyched and amped and READY. I finally feel that the time is right. My mind is ready. I am set. I am GOING. Who's coming with me?
Write out your goals people. It's a HUGE HUGE DIFFERENCE when you write this out and keep it with you every day. Like a food journal- you might think you are eating 1500 calories a day, until you right down every bite you take, then you realize OH GEEZ it's more like 2200 or 2500. People- you eat 5 fig newtons, you ate 500 calories. Big ice cream sandwich (um yea one of my newest love interests..the chocolate chip cookies with ice cream in the middle?) - 550 calories- that's 1/3 of an average diet intake for the DAY and it's supposed to be a "snack". Pay attention~ !!!
And, when you write out your goals~ write in the POSITIVE TENSE. Write what YOU WILL DO, don't focus on what you DON'T want to do. Let me share some of mine with you, for example:
- I will incorporate more variety into my diet.
- I will eat more fruit and more vegetables.
- I will focus on a gallon of water each day.
- I will eat clean, healthy and organic food.
- I will trust myself and my decisions.
- I will complete unassisted pull-ups.
- I will complete unassisted chin-ups.
- I will complete one-armed push ups.
- I will eat reasonable portions always.
- I will enjoy my healthy meals.
- I will workout and train consistently.
- I will forgive myself when I trip.
- I will get back up immediately when I trip.
- I will achieve my fat loss goals before summer.
- I will dramatically improve my body's conditioning.
- I will build my delts and define them like never before.
- I will strengthen and build my hamstrings.
- I will complete one-legged squats - all the way to the floor, with ease.
- I will be positive, uplifting, encouraging, enthusiastic, happy and loving to everyone in my life.
- I will forgive.
- I will love unconditionally.
- I will excel in my business.
- I will do more and be more so I can have more and share more.
- I will live out loud.
- I will AIM HIGH.
- I will.
Make today count. Write out your goals. Make yourself proud. Start kick BUTT NOW!!! START NOW.

People, I cannot even tell you, how unbelievably busy I have been dealing with TECHNOLOGY issues the past few days. I just now finished reinstalling Windows on my other laptop #()&)&%#%)!&%!)&% and my Blackberry was all jacked up this morning. BREATHE KELLY BREATHE.

Monday Manjoyment
Surely you didn't think I forgot Monday Manjoyment? Heavens No!! It's just been a super busy day.....all kinds of running around and here it is 8pm and I'm just getting caught up - or getting STARTED on getting caught up. Yeaaaa. Right. So y'all, I just had the BEST conversation, a truly enlightening conversation with my new friend Rocco. Wait til I share him with you. He may frighten you, in a good way. Hee hee. But I'll share more in my vlog tomorrow. You know how I always say, sometimes another person's perspective can really help you "see the light". And this conversation we had tonight was what I needed. ROCCO ROCKS. ;-)
Did you all have a kick butt Monday? Did you smile like crazy? If so, why not??
Cut out the negative thoughts- toward others and also - TOWARD YOURSELF. That is where, (and part of this is what Rocco and I were talking about) I HAVE TO CHANGE, me personally. I am HORRIBLE about negative self talk. I have all the business confidence in the world but with my fitness goals, if you guys could hear how I berate myself and discourage myself (see, I'm showing you how much work I have to do, how I need to TEACH MYSELF the lessons I am sharing with you guys.) for not being where I want to be, you'd slap me. Seriously. So I am working on this big time. Because -THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS.

It's not enough to just "be easier on yourself", in fact, this is NOT about being easy on yourself, it's about coaching yourself in a positive manner, that encourages RESULTS and rewards RESULTS. It recognizes failure, but continually focuses on the CAPABILITY PRESENT ALL THE TIME TO SUCCEED, rather than focusing on the actual (temporary) failure. Failure is temporary. Your reaction to failing is what determines your future. Accept that you will fail. Determine that you will get up and continue.
Encourage yourself and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF every day. You ARE your own coach. And that is the most important coach of all. You guys, this is an area I have been HORRIBLE in. I'm all great helping you all and helping those around me in motivating and staying up- but when it comes to my reality RIGHT NOW in my fitness goals, I have been so overwhelmingly hard on myself and THAT IS NOT A GOOD COACH. A good coach pushes you but ENCOURAGES YOU and recognizes your STRENGTHS and more importantly YOUR POTENTIAL.
I am capabale, fully capable of reaching my goals. I have everything I need inside of me to achieve the tasks ahead of me. I am much closer than I think. I will succeed. I will excel. I am unstoppable. WATCH ME.

Evaluate.

Hi Kittens!! Hope you are having a fabulous weekend. It is brrrrr beyond cold here today with a Blizzard Warning- wind chills of 30 to 40 below zero! Good times....!! Perfect day to stay inside. No workout today, but I am so glad to have really been back at it full force this past week. It feels GREAT. I'm so excited about the future, I am bursting!! With enthusiasm that is!! ;-)
So, I wanted to put out a quick post about Evaluation Time. It's the end of the year, the time that inevitably most of us start thinking about goals and what we want to do differently. I know Skye posted on her blog recently that for 2010, she wants to be able to NOT put on her goals "to lose weight". I can so relate to that. Granted, I always want to improve. There really will be no point where I'm "finished". BUT, there should be a point where to some degree, I've achieved the TOTAL fat loss that I want. Not close, like I've been, but TOTAL. I thought I would do that this year and I did not. So, I will - and I am not waiting until January 1st. I started much earlier.
Evaluate where youare NOW. Evaluate how you feel right now about where you are. Does it feel GREAT?? Are you bursting with pride on what you've done this year??? If not, do you want that same feeling at the end of 2009? If you don't....then - remember what I always say, 'TO GET WHAT YOU'VE NEVER HAD YOU MUST DO WHAT YOU'VE NEVER DONE.'
Achieving amazing results is NOT going to be easy. You must step out of your comfort zone. You must do things differently. You must be willing to SHOW UP. You must be willing to do the work. You must be willing to accept that you will fall down. And when you fall down, YOU JUST GET UP. It's the "getting up" part that moves you toward success. NOT being perfect 100% of the time. No one is. Get over that idea. Just press on. Don't give up. Aim High. Never Settle.

Adjust Accordingly
Oh Dear. Did I slide in a little more Manjoyment today? I'm sorry. Here's a quick post to jump off what I said in today's vlog. When life gets in the way of your workout plans, ADJUST ACCORDINGLY. Do it anyway. Here's a thought- workout instead of TV?? Whoa. Brilliant. Or, workout while you watch TV. Fit something in, there is no excuse to not do SOMETHING.We are supposed to get a massive storm tonight- huge. So my plans to workout at Lifetime have changed. Am I NOT going to workout? HELL NO!! I'm adjusting accordingly. I can easily do cardio at home, and I will.
The more you OVERCOME OBSTACLES like we encounter in every day life, the better you will feel about yourself and GUESS WHAT- that nice side effect of "motivation" occurs naturally with the sweet feeling of success. Build on that. Make Today Count. Start NOW.

I did get some sad news this morning. Mr. Jay is moving to Boca Raton!! Dang!! I guess I'm moving. Hehehehee. Close enough. But, don't you worry, I told you all about the Kelly O 2009 Road Show. We will be visiting Mr. Jay in Florida and hopefully I can squeeze in a vlog with him before he moves. I want to cry. Who will beat me up in the gym now? I don't need some lame nice guy. I need someone with the level of badass-ness that Jay has. I need to ponder this.
So- as you can see below I smashed a Red Carpet Ready workout this morning!! Double WOOT! Tomorrow is Killer Cardio at the gym and that's that. Am I hearing any sorry, lame excuses about not working out or not eating right?? I didn't think so. What sounds better? A dozen Christmas cookies or looking F-I-N-E in your favorite jeans? I thought so.
On that note, I'm out, have no time to blog today kids. I'm buried with calls and meetings today. I know I'm behind on reading everyone too, I will catch up this week I promise!! ;-)

I have several calls this morning, then I am meeting my mom at our church to help set up a Food Pantry, then I am babysitting my niece tonight, who will likely make a special guest appearance on my vlog tonight!! Stay FOCUSED.

Hey Kids!! All I can say is (well really all I can say is not much, because my throat is RAW LIKE SUSHI....LOL) WOOT!! WOOT!! WOOT!!
I am SO PSYCHED Y'ALL! I mean, really- I had to come here and wanted to vlog it all out for you, but since my throat has been ravaged, I had to type it!!
Guys, STAY FOCUSED. This is the season to give in right and party it up and have fun, but you don't have to have a FREE FOR ALL. Keep your eye on the goal. STAY FOCUSED. Don't get into that "All or Nothing" mindset that can be so self-destructive!!
I've been beyond annoyed dealing with this cold and have not yet had a full 100% back at it workout week. SO WHAT?? AM I throwing in the towel and eating Krispy Kremes? HECK NO. I'm resting, taking copious amounts of OTC drugs (ha ha) and DOING WHAT I CAN DO. That means I am HUSTLING ALL OVER THE PLACE with my work. I'm resting my head when I can. I'm working out when I feel my body can handle it and guess what? When I'm 100% , I AM GOING TO KILL IT IN THE GYM. JUST FREAKING KILL IT. You have no idea. I am going to give Red Carpet Ready Workouts a new Queen. That's RIGHT. Kelly O is nailing it. Big time.
I may be down, but I am NEVER OUT. I am unstoppable. This is merely a wee little (albeit annoying as all get out) detour. I will recover and I will knock it out of the park. You watch.
So, that being said, DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP. Don't you even THINK ABOUT giving in or slowing down. You keep your eye on that goal, KNOWING FULL WELL that next year at this time you are going to look back with PRIDE at how you NAILED IT in 2009. I won't let you NOT do it!!

Although I am feeling better, I am going to err on the side of caution and not do a Fat Blast Sweat Fest Red Carpet Ready Workout tonight. Tomorrow morning I will nail it big time. That's right. I Am Well Able.
Hey Kittens! I hope everyone is having a SPECTACULAR weekend. I vaguely recall my weekend, not really- I've been coming in and out of cold-coma...egads, I'll be glad when this is OVER!!So, before I go try to veg out a bit, I wanted to share what's on my mind. A lot of you, and a big part of me recently- well, everyone's had some frustration about their progress. I've had a number of people ask me about getting motivated, getting inspired, staying motivated, staying positive. I've said it before, it IS A CHOICE. And it's a DAILY CHOICE. You don't learn it once. You keep learning, it is a perpetual cycle.
So, if you want to make 2009 your best year EVER, (and then 2010, and so on, this isn't a one time thing either), then you MAKE THAT CHOICE. Decide what you want.
I don't care where you are in your journey, if you have tried and failed and started over a dozen times, or if you are just starting, it DOESN'T MATTER.
YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO. YOU HAVE ALL IT TAKES INSIDE OF YOU TO GET THERE. AND IF YOU ARE HERE, ONLINE, IN THIS LOVELY BLOGOSPHERE, YOU HAVE EVEN MORE. YOU HAVE CONSTANT SUPPORT. VIRTUAL CHEERLEADERS!
Decide what you want, decide how you are going to get there. And every day, you tell yourself ALL DAY LONG, "I can do anything I set my mind to, I am well able and equipped to reach all my goals, and I will blow them out of the water. I am unstoppable."
Remove words from your vocabulary like "Can't" and "Won't" and "But" and stop thinking, "What if I can't...." or "What if I don't..." Here's a thought: WHAT IF YOU DO???
MAKE IT HAPPEN. STOP MAKING EXCUSES. DON'T WAIT UNTIL MONDAY. REACH OUT AND GET SUPPORT, GET SOME CHEERLEADERS! I'M YOUR CHEERLEADER!! Look yourself in the mirror every day and tell yourself that you are a WARRIOR and NOTHING can stop you. NOTHING can overcome you or lure you away from your goals. NOTHING.
Obstacles are meant to be overcome. Belief & Desire is all you need. Take it and run with it.

Saturday Snooze Fest.

For the love of GOD!!! GO AWAY COLD!! GO AWAY!! Here's the deal kids- I think the thing with little colds is, you have to EMBRACE THEM and invite them in for dinner. You can't just keep them sitting outside on the step knocking, wanting to come in - because guess what? They don't GO AWAY!! They keep knocking until you LET THEM IN. Then when you let them in, let them take off their coat, kick off their shoes, ya know, get comfortable as if they'll stay a while, THEN YOU BLAST THEM WITH ROBITUSSIN. I have figured out the secret. I've been 'fighting' this cold for the better part of 3, almost 4 weeks. It's been JUST ENOUGH of a cold to make me really tired and have a dry scratchy throat, but not enough to keep me bed-ridden. So I just get some rest...and it keeps hanging on....well now, it is here. The coat is off, the shoes are off, and Robitussin is my boyfriend this weekend. That's right.
Guys, my eyes are so dilated right now and I am so groggy, I can barely type. I fear for what this blog might say today. I fear for you. Alas, see my dedication to giving you a tiny bit of Kelly O today? It's all I got.
It snowed a bunch last night and the lovely plow man woke me up this morning. What a blessing. ($#&%@%@&%)
ok, I'm sure you'll forgive the lack of vlog today. No way in heck I am shooting a vlog looking the way I do at this moment. I have a reputation to uphold. Ha ha.

It's All Good, Will Be Better & Better.
Sorry I can't vlog for you guys this evening ~ nursing the sore throat. I'm telling you, like everyone I know is sick right now! I bet I caught this little gift from my mom, who was sick at Thanksgiving and had to go back to the doctor today. Anyway, who cares? I'm a bit under the weather, not horrible but I did want to post...I was just reading another blog post and it made me think of what's ahead- for me, and for all of us, and how excited I am. I feel renewed, finally, and ready to kick it. I'm ready to shake off the personal, professional, medical dramas I've experienced this year and = well SHAKE IT OFF. Toughen up, pick up and get moving again full speed ahead. Stop beating myself up, stop feeling bad about it, stop apologizing and second guessing. Start believing again. Start Trusting again...I'm feeling it. Big time. And it's about time.Today is December 1- I have my brand new journal started, where I am writing down EVERYTHING I DO. My diet, my workouts, how I feel etc. I am NOT posting my daily diet here but I am tracking it. I really REALLY need to stop asking 50 people what I should and shouldn't eat and how much cardio blah blah blah. KISS- Keep it simple stupid. I have not been keeping it simple and it has driven me nuts for the past 30 days. I'm over it.
It was very disappointing to wake up with a dry scratchy throat when I wanted to workout fresh this morning. So I'm about to take a nap and see if I feel well enough to do some circuit training when I wake up....if not, I will smash it the rest of the week.
Here is what I am looking forward to, starting TODAY:
- Not obsessing, and trusting in me.
- Being totally ON it again.
- Working hard on my delts, hamstrings and quads.
- Incorporating everything I have learned about training this year + cardio.
- Posting MY figure pictures here!
- Doing unassisted pullups and chinups.
- Achieving my fat loss goals once and for all.
- Trying new healthy foods- having a diet that is VARIED.
- Drinking a lot more alcohol.
- Eating Krispy Kremes Daily.
I'm feeling great inside- well mentally that is. Physically, not so much. Vitamin C!!! Vitamin C!!!
Monday Manjoyment.
Hello Kids!! Did you have a great weekend?? I have a slight case of the MUNDAYS in that I woke up with quite the sore throat. Last night it was a little snowstorm here, and I got to bed late- then there is something outside my bedroom window, that whenever it rains (or snows in this case) there is a continual drip that sounds like a loud TAPPING. VERY annoying. So I had to sleep on my couch last night; got to bed around 1am finally and then at 6am, the association crew was outside shoveling our sidewalks....and then I could feel the sore throat coming on....so all that to say, I've had to move my calls to later. My morning workout will have to be later today, assumming I don't get worse (I don't think so, I'm not horrible, I think getting rest, drinking tea and taking Vitamin C and Zicam will work. My gosh, I have truly been more sick this year than in the past 5 years put together. No joke. Um, again, could it be due to the fact that I was on ANTIBIOTICS FOR A YEAR AND A HALF STRAIGHT?? Geez....!!!)Anyway, this morning's message from me to you is this:
MAKE TODAY COUNT.
I personally have been drowning in analyis-paralysis as I've shared with you guys before. I've set my goals, and now I am incorporating these goals, and goal setting STRATEGIES into my DAILY LIFE. It's not enough to set a goal once. You must set goals each day. For work, for your personal life, your spiritual life, you physical life. And then, you conquer these mini-goals each day- this creates success and Success breeds MORE Success. I believe that without a doubt. On the contrary, the opposite is true. Doubt, insecurity, defeat- it all breeds more of the same. If you've been 'stuck' for whatever reason in whatever area of your life, it's time to pull yourself out of it, and put one foot in front of the other!! Baby Steps. Look AHEAD not behind. Make daily deposits in the bank of YOU. Make today COUNT.

I have my weekly goals and my 'general goals' - but EACH DAY has to have mini-goals- taking my vitamins, drinking my hot water with lemon, taking my medicine (only 6 more weeks!! woo-hoo!!), drinking my water, doing my planned workout for that day, whether it is cardio or training or both, having my quiet time each morning, having some total "me time", reading for an hour, following up, etc. If you don't prioritize, you will get lost. I've been guilty of letting the days "get away from me" and my other favorite adage is so true:
